Baby update

Things are going pretty well so far this pregnancy. I'm surprised that I'm coping with the stairs fairly well! If I have to go up and down them too many times in a row then I have a hard time but so far so good. I'm so close to starting with my 3rd trimester! It's really flying. I'm 27 weeks along and just had another ultrasound done today. The baby looks really good. She's beefing up really well! Online they tell me that she's almost 2 pounds but by her measurements today she's a little over 2. Maybe this'll be a baby more Bennett's size (8lbs6oz) instead of Jordan's (7lbs1oz). As long as she's healthy =). Her spine looks great- no signs of any problems at all. She's been very active and really likes to hang out on my right side. Well, I guess maybe it's my uterus that's shifted over there but I'm totally lopsided! Maybe it's because my body knew I had to carry Jordan around on my left side so it makes the baby stay on my right =). Since the only other ultrasound I've had done so far (before today) was at 14 weeks, we weren't 100% sure that we were having a girl. So we told Bennett that there was a chance the baby was a boy. When he heard today that its' FOR SURE a girl, he totally broke down! Poor guy. He really wants to share his bedroom with his new sibling and knows that if it's a girl that the baby will be in with Jordan. We tried our hardest to help console him but he was just sobbing. Hopefully next time we'll have a boy for him =).

We still haven't decided on a name. And I DON'T want to wait until she's born but maybe that's going to happen. With Bennett and Jordan we knew in advance and it all fit perfectly but this one has been more difficult. We really use to like Shelby but as time goes on, the less and less it seems to fit- especially after today's ultrasound. It just doesn't seem right. We really like Reese (thanks for the suggestion Janell!) but it hasn't grown on me as much as it has with Rhett. So we've been looking all over the web for ideas but nothing screams YES to me yet. Frustrating! I want to call her something. Well, we actually do call her something but it's Bennett's name for her and we are NOT going to name her this =). He calls her "Zip". Lovely =). He came up with it all on his own. So it's "baby Zip" this and "baby Zip" that. It's cute. He gets pretty bummed when we remind him that we are not naming the baby Zip. It must be rough being a 4 year old who can't decide what to name his new sister! Any more suggestions would be awesome! Bring em on! Oh, one of my friends, Christie (Jordan's old OT) suggested we name her Ryan. I really like that name and probably would have used it. Christie just lost her brother (about 3 months ago) in Afghanistan. So that would have been really neat to use but it happens to be the name of my brother and sister-in-law's youngest daughter. They named her after Monica's best friend when she was younger who has passed away. SUPER cute name but I can't bring myself to having 2 girls named Ryan in the same family, and they'd only be about a year apart!

Chris and I are using Emmelene (will go by Emme (Emmy)) so thats off limits, but we also like but have not claimed Kenadee, Hailee, Macee, and Kenlee. A lot of double E's, I know, but different spelling is fun!

Tar, I like Macee (or Macy =) ) but I'm not sure... Thank you for the suggestions! It ALL helps.
Carina, yes your name is great =). We've also seen Alana a lot on the baby name lists... Keep the ideas coming!

That is a really hard one. I know what you feel like. It was like this when I was pregnant with our second girl. We wrote down a list of names and the first one we fell in love with but over time it just did not feel right then she came out and I really wanted her to be a Sara and Jeff tried calling her that but after about 5 minutes he looked over with tears in his eyes and said, "she is definately a Kate Elizabeth." Who would have thought the first name we loved and then did not like would become her name today.

As for names I love Rebekah, Ruth, Sabine, Aunika, and I do like the name Ryan (and yes I understand about having the same name in the family). Umm . . .If I come across another cute one I will let you know!

Joe and I were pretty set on Ryan for Kalli but once she came I just didn't feel it. I tried overnight calling her Ryan b/c I really loved the name, Ryan Elizabeth, but it just didn't work out. I'm awful with suggesting names. I love the spelling of Kenadee like someone mentioned and I really like Ragan too.

Claire is one of my favorites. It is Katherine's middle name. I'm glad to hear that you are doing well. Congrats on having a girl!

Picking names is SO frustrating, we are no where close to finding a name we can agree one, but here are some from my girl list (which isn't being used this time!)

Sydnee
Lily
Paige
Calista (Calli is such a cute nickname!)

I've always thought Rhettley would make a cute little girls name. :)
Or you could combine your names: Trett, Racey, etc. Just a few helpful suggestions for you there...

Hmmm....the name game. You don't care for traditional "girly" names if I am remembering correctly, right? Here are a few: London, Kamryn, Ava (though very popular right now), Tatum, and I do like Macee.

Ah come on name the baby Zip! She'll be the only one in her class :) Just kidding...you know how hard it is for Tim and I to decide on a name so I'm no help there!

Hey, Traci!
I read your new Post! I started laughing when I saw the Sydnee suggestion. I called Ellis to come look at the name suggestion. He said, "Grandpa's still rooting for that name selection". He liked the new spelling even! You can take my Aubrey and Henessy name suggestions and change them to Aubree or Henesee
(rhymes with Tennessee-Just Kidding!

I really like the name Sage, it's not too girly. Plus I love the color. I just wanted to tell you Traci how amazing you are. I really admire you and the strength you are to your family. Rhett is really one lucky man to have you and your children are beautiful.

ps. I also really like the name Holland, its different I know, but so cute!

I totally understand Traci! If we have another girl I have NO CLUE what we would name her!!! I love that you love the name Ryan so much!! I wish I could be helpful. Nate and Cristine were thinking about Lana if they had a girl and I kinda dug that... ??? Good luck Traci! I also like Claire (more for a middle name though) and Taytum!

So glad everything is going well! I wish you were still here so I could see your kids growing up so fast and to see the new little baby!

I'm so glad to hear from you. Man, it's been a long time hasn't it. I can't believe you're have number 3. That's fantastic. Brig and I haven't agreed on a boy name yet and we have less than 6 weeks. So if you have suggestions let me know and I'll try and think of a cute girl name too.

That's funny, I almost named Alex Shelby, and I love the name Ryan for a girl. I like the name Kya (ky-ya) and Ava. Congrats on having another girl! :)

How about naming her Zap? Ha Ha! Why did you have to carry Jordan mostly on your left side during your pregnancy? Glad that this pregnancy has been pretty uneventful and healthy!
